The Association for Career and Technical Education® Launches CTE Month® in February, with Educational Programs for High School Students
Career and Technical Education Month, or CTE Month, is a public awareness campaign that is sponsored every February by The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). It’s a great annual event, and this year’s promises to be the best one ever, with a variety of stimulating programs to help high school students get more from their Technical Education studies and prepare for their careers.
“Celebrate Today, Own Tomorrow”
“Celebrate Today, Own Tomorrow” is the tagline that ACTE has created for CTE Month, and it really applies. Here are some of the programs your students can participate in at your school:
- Enter this year’s CTE Student Video Challenge. This year’s theme is “Living and Working on the Moon and Beyond.” Act fast, because the deadline for entries is coming up on March 2nd.
- Host programs with local business and industry leaders to help them understand the role that CTE education will play in building their future workforce.
- Host school visits with local residents to help them understand your school’s CTE programs.
- Engage with policymakers and media to get them involved in your school’s CTE programs.

ACTE is offering branded pens, pencils, lanyards and other CTE Month Merchandise that can help get your students excited about CTE Month activities. Plus, you can download the CTE Month logo and use it freely to promote visits from local leaders and businesspeople at your school.
